Mission Statement
My Majestic Monarchs is focused on helping others to learn how to create a beautiful, pesticide free and eco friendly habitat garden for monarch butterflies as well as other butterflies and pollinators. I will share my experiences on selecting host plants, nectar plants and ways to prevent diseases, all while having fun, relaxing in the garden and enjoying the gratitude that comes with knowing you are contributing to the conservation of the monarch butterfly.
About Us
We are a residential garden, certified Monarch Waystation #37798, with the name My Majestic Monarchs. I am not a professional breeder, just a monarch mom enjoying raising and providing for a variety of butterflies and pollinators. I have raised multiple species in a single year with hundreds released since I began. I have had many successes and some real flops in the garden since I first started. I do a lot of research to make sure I am "working smarter, not harder" and most of the time it works out. Let's be honest, sometimes it just doesn't turn out as I had planned.

Many of you already know the Western Monarch butterfly population has declined drastically, 95% since 1980. In 2020, they had an official count of only 2000. In 2021 the official count increased to over 250,000. In November, 2022 we saw another increase with a count of over 300,000 monarch butterflies. Even with these increases they are so far away from where they need to be. While warranted, they are not yet on the CDFW endangered list, though reviewed is slated for 2024. It is my hope to have you join me and others to take action, to help as little or as much as you'd like, to create the habitat needed to help save the monarch butterfly.
